The Dama technopole hosts some of the most powerful High Performance Computers (HPC) in the world and is the international reference for Supercomputing, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. It has applications in the field of science and technology in meteorology, climatology, health, earth sciences and industry.
Dama is the hub of the Emilia-Romagna "Data Valley", which is a complex innovation ecosystem, based on research, businesses and expertise,
able to extract value from data,
carry-out direct decision-making,
highlight correlations
and protect the environment, citizens and their assets.
DAMA is part of the Emilia-Romagna network of technopoles, 12 infrastructures located in more than 20 sites across the region. These facilities host research activities and provide services for business innovation and territorial development.
Together with the technopoles, the High Technology Network, and the so-called "Clust-ER" network, DAMA is part of a regional innovation ecosystem, a model that promotes technology transfer and collaboration.
This ecosystem comprises a connected network of institutions, businesses, universities, research centres, and organizations working together to foster sustainable economic development based on innovation, research, and skills.
